We recycle in BC

Waste Recycling

Recycling in BC became a popular subject about 10 years ago. Nowadays, most people are conscious about it and want to be sure that they are doing the right thing. Good for the consumer, customer, company and environment.

Recycling concrete in Vancouver is an issue if you don’t know where to go. Most reputable companies follow this practice these days. Best to do your research to be sure.

We recycle in BC, but it has not become an issue of mandatory practice. Governments are hesitant to enforce requirements at a municipal level.

Recycling in BC may not be mandatory, but some cities are taking the lead. In the lower mainland, Burnaby, Coquitlam, New Westminster, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver tend to be fairly environmentally savvy cities.

Recycling in BC is promoted at elementary schools and high schools. BC kids are growing up with a greater understanding of the need to recycle products. As a result, adults are being held responsible for their environmental practices by their children.

Recycle campaigns have created slogans like “Reduce, reuse, recycle” to get the message out to kids. We need to introduce a similar slogan for consumption.

BC’s recycling programs make BC one of the greenest places on earth. No wonder it’s considered one of the best places to live around the world.
